Mishal Moore Oh Lord (June 2009)

It's really the Muthafunkaz mix that is closest to a soulful house track with its more prominent 4-4 beats. The Kenny Dope mix seems to twist old jazz with a hint of funk, and the original version is straight up 1940's jazz, Billie Holiday meets Erykah Badu! And there's nothing I don't like about those two artists! A nice track.

Marc Evans Tonight's The Night (Muthafunkaz Remix) May 2009

Marc Evans with a nice soulful effort here. Didn't realise on the first listen how raunchy this one is, the quality vocals and production seem to make this ooze class..There's some really good soulful house music about at the moment, felt it had gone quiet over the last two months but now it is back ready for summer!
